• Foster the development of new markets in terms of both geography (exports to Europe, Asia, the Americas, etc.) and sectors (aerospace, health and biotechnologies, etc.)
  
  
• Foster the economic development of the Quebec region and Canada, by consolidating and developing leadership in the optics and photonics field.
  
  
• Contribute to the creation of conditions conducive to the establishment of new companies as well as the growth of those already in the region.
