During the Photonics North 2009, a Quebec Pavillon had been organized by the Quebec Photonic Network.  The following member companies were with us in this pavillon. They are: AGT Lasers Inc., Cête à Côte Optique, Optech Montréal,et HEDZOPT.

THE CEO of the QPN proceeded several invitations and received conference speakers. The conference "Next-Gen Network" was very interesting. A special session "International Photonics Clusters" was also organized by the QPN. Dr. Mike Scott from CPC, Dr. John Fielding from OPIN, Dr. Michael Schmidt from Bayern Photonics, Dr. Thierry Thevenin from BORDEAUX, Mr. Jacques Ruel from General Consulat of Canada in Boston, and Dr. Michel Têtu from QPN gave conferences.

Another important activity to be underlined is the QPN Photonics Morning. Mr. Steve Bouffard from DEC made a presentation about their financial assistances program to companies. Mr. Bogdan Ciobanu from PARI-CNRC made also a presentation of fiancial assistance program to companies from their institution.

The CIOP Press Conference was also a remarkable event. The CIOP is mainly dedicated to the Quebec City. The QPN will collaborate in a good way with this project and extend its appropriated actions to the left area of the province of Quebec. The other activities like 10th anniversary of the CIPI is one more remarkable activity. The CEO of the QPN who was the founder of the CIPI was invited to speak in front of the whole assemblies. The success of the EXFO was a good examople of the Photonics Research and Development in Quebec.

At the end, we invite all of you to come to our next edition of the Photonics North 2010, which will be held 1-3 June 2010, at Fallsview Casino Resort, Niagara Falls, Canada.
